MD says a % of col 2a,profit from sale of US obligations is exempt from its state tax.This is>col 1a. At review,Turbo Tax says this % amt. must be< 1a. What should I do?

Total capital gain distributions (col 2a) has a % that is invested in US gov't obligations. According to the state of Maryland, this profit is not taxed . This amt. exceeds the Total ordinary dividends in col. 1a. Turbo Tax flags this at review; it insists that this amt must be less than or equal to the Total Ordinary Dividend. How do I get Turbo Tax to accept this?
