Married Nov. 1, 2024, spouse from Alabama

I am a California resident. I married a man from Alabama on 11-1-24. He moved to California two months prior on 9-1-24. He has no income from California, only his Social Security and a federal pension. How should we file our state taxes. If MFS, what form should he use?
