Hi,

I live in Oregon and i travel 50% of my time working in Texas.

100% of my wages are from Texas.

I do not make any money in Oregon.

Am i supposed to pay Oregon taxes since i am not making any money in Oregon?

Yes, since you are a resident of Oregon, you are taxed on income from all sources. Per the 2019 Oregon Individual Income Tax Guide, if you are a full-year resident, you are required to file a tax return if your gross income is more than $6,230 (for single filers under 65.)

If you have income from a non-Oregon source and you pay income taxes to another state, you are eligible for a credit on your Oregon tax return. However, since there is no income tax in Texas, you will not be eligible for this credit on your Oregon tax return.

Please see this link to the Oregon Individual Income Tax Guide for more information.
