Kept asked to update TC 40-S

I moved from Utah to Texas last year and lived for about 6 months in both states. When I was doing state taxes, I was asked to check the entry for Form TC-40S. However, I'm not quite sure if I actually need this form. The form is for "credit for taxes paid to another state." But Texas, the only other state that I lived in, doesn't have a state income tax. Of course, it isn't an option in choosing a state in Form TC-40S but it still asks me to choose a state and fill out the entries. I don't know if I can just click continue and leave everything blank. Could someone help me on figuring out what is the best thing to do?

Yes, you are correct.  You do not need the Form TC-40S because there will be no credit for taxes paid to another state and it does not apply in your situation because you were a part year resident.

You should be able to click 'Continue' without completing this form.  Be sure you are paying tax in Utah on only the income earned while living in Utah.
