Thank you for responding. I do know that form K-40PT can be filed with Turbotax What I'm not sure of is if it was automatically filed when I e-filed my Kansas state tax. I didn't see anywhere to check a box to e-file it the form itself.
Yes. TurboTax should automatically file your K-40PT as long as you were a resident of Kansas for the entire year, a home owner, and age 65 and older. There is no separate box to e-file that specific form. Rather, it would have been e-filed as support to your Kansas return.
If you would like to confirm this form was filed, you could look at your e-filed tax documents.
Please follow these instructions to see your forms:
My K-40PT was submitted along with my other documents in TurboTax. But none of the Kansas documents asked for bank routing or account info. Will the KS funds be sent to the account listed in my Federal return? Or will Kansas mail a check for this portion?
Yes, the Kansas funds will be sent to the account listed on your Federal return.
