Can I push my solar credit (installed 2018, california) to next year tax return. i intend to include it in next year tax.

In terms of the federal return, you are generally required to take the credit in the year you purchase the system. The credit should be applied to the 2018 tax. If the credit reduces your tax liability to zero, the amount of the credit that has not been applied to 2018 is carried forward to 2019.

On the California return, there is no longer a tax credit for solar, but there is a rebate program for energy storage systems. Please see http://www.cpuc.ca.gov/sgip/ for details.
