In 2014 I moved from VA to MD, and lived in MD since then. I kept the VA house and rented it out until 2021, and sold it in 2022. Do I have to file Virginia state taxes?

Nonresidents of Virginia with Virginia Adjusted Gross Income at or above the filing threshold must file if any of their income is from Virginia sources. Income from Virginia sources is income received from labor performed, business done, or property located in Virginia, including gains from sales, exchanges or other dispositions of real estate and intangible personal property having a situs in Virginia.
