Yes, you can still apply for the renter’s rebate in Vermont. 

 To qualify for this credit:

• You must have a low enough income.
• You must have rented in Vermont for all 12 months of the tax year, even if you rented in more than one place and even if you did not pay all of your rent.
• You must have been a legal resident of Vermont for the whole tax year.
• You can’t be somebody else’s dependent.
• You must be the only member of your household claiming the credit.

Also, if you received rental assistance from a rental housing stabilization program, the amount that was paid to the landlord from those programs, is not considered paid by the tenant and would be excluded from rent paid.
