I live/work in CA and my husband lives/works in PA. Can we file federal tax jointly & state separately? If yes,do we have to show that we both lived partly in both states?

We were married only one and half month in the tax year 2023.

Yes, you can file jointly for federal and separate for state tax if you were a resident of California and your husband was resident of Pennsylvania.  If you only lived/worked in California and he only lived/worked in Pennsylvania, neither of you has to file as a non-resident in the other sate.  You both need to be able to show that you maintained separate residences in your respective state.
