I have an account with multiple municipal bonds of which only 1 is exempt from MA tax. How do I get it to only exclude the MA bond interest in the MA state return?

I have tried entering MA and Multiple States with the corresponding bond interest after I entered 1099-INT info and it did not work.

Create a separate 1099-INT for the MA interest (edit the original 1099-INT subtracting the MA interest from the total).  TurboTax will then ask for state specific input for each 1099-INT.
