I am working on my turbo tax state return for CA. I am a FL resident who was on active duty orders in CA during part of the year. I choose FL but TT puts me in as CA.

How do I get it to reflect FL as my residence

Florida is your home of record.  That fact should be recorded in TurboTax as follows:

• In TurboTax Online, down the left side of the screen select My Info.  Then select Edit to the right of your name.
• Under State of residence, select Florida.
• Under I lived in another state in 2023, select No.
• Continue through the software.  
• At the screen Where were you stationed, select California.
