I am working as a resident physician and currently live in Florida but I am a resident of California, do I still need to file California taxes?

Probably.  If by resident physician you mean that you are in an internship, then that would mean you are a student in a student training program.  Such a residency would not change your permanent residency of California, which is still your home state.  California will still be able to tax you for the income you are earning in your Florida internship if this is the case.
