I moved to Indiana last year and I filed my state tax return for 2019 many days ago. Then today I heard I needed to pay county tax too.
But TurboTax didn't show my county tax options when I am doing my state tax.
My question is: does TurboTax include the county tax when doing state tax? Thank you!

According to the Indiana instructions, if you are in Indiana on January 1st, you owe the county tax for the year, whether or not you are there all year.
Yes, TurboTax calculates the county tax from whatever is included in your federal adjusted gross income, which income from a 1099 would be.
No, TurboTax does not have the option to prepare the county tax for Indiana.
Thanks for your answer! @SusanY1 I have filed my state tax by TurboTax, then what should I do for my county tax? If TurboTax does not do my county tax, Does it mean I have to figure out how to pay it by myself?
Please go to your county website and see what your options are there.
@BillM223 Thanks for your answer.
I don't understand why TurboTax does not do this for customers since other tax software like TaxAct does it.
@SusanY1 @BillM223 I saw this post https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/after-you-file/discussion/local-income-taxes/00/689628
It says
some states (New York, Maryland, Indiana, Iowa) include these local taxes on their state form.
Do you think this statement is right?
If it is right. Does it mean I do not need to file separate tax returns for my local taxes? Thanks!
In looking at Indiana itself, your county tax is calculated on your state return and shown on the schedule CT-40. This amount is added to your state tax due.
Presumably, your employer withheld the correct amount on your W-2 and shows this in the local taxes boxes on the W-2.
There is no separate county return.
@BillM223 Thanks for your answer. It is really helpful.
I do find the local income withhold on the W2, but I have another 1099 form. I am not sure if TurboTax helps me to calculate the county Tax for the income from 1099 form? Do you know if TurboTax does it or not? Thanks!
@BillM223 Also, the title of CT-40 is County Tax Schedule for Full-Year Indiana Residents. I am only part-year Indiana residents, do you know what form should I check? Thank you very much!
