Can i get a refund back on my taxes if in 2019 I incorrectly filed my taxes in the state I am stationed in (HI) but my Home of Record is Washington State (WA).

Yes, you can. You must file an amended 2019 Hawaii tax return, showing zero HI income (assuming your only income in HI was your military pay).

You should print and mail the amended return, along with a note explaining your error.

In TurboTax, always enter your military SLR (State of Legal Residence) as your State of Residence, regardless of where you are actually stationed.
