California to florida
I lived in California for the first 6 months of 2017 and had no income, I was a student there. I then moved to Florida july 1 and immediately became a resident there before I started my job there. All my income from 2017 came in Florida after my move there. Do I have to file a California return?

No, if you didn't have any income while you were living in CA you don't file a CA return.
Click on this link for CA.gov website page: State of California - Do I need to file?
If you are a part-year resident
and your total taxable California income was more than the amount defined in this chart, you have to file.
Total taxable California income includes both of the following:
- Income from all sources while you were a California resident.
- California source income while you were a nonresident.
