We did a one-time IRA rollover to HSA. The 1099R showed correct distribution of code 7. We did not rollover more than HSA limit. Federal forms ok, but CA state form 3805P showed up and calculated a fee for an early distribution; we are both 62. No early distribution taken. Deleting the form does not work, it reappears when you click Review. We did not take early distribution and form should not be there - 1099R is correct with no early distribution code. The only way around the error is to override the early distribution to "0" but the form 3805P is still there. Any way to delete the Form 3805P for good? Why would TT cause the form to show incorrectly?

On what line on the 3805P does this penalty appear? I want to understand what TurboTax thinks that you did.
Line 4 of form 3805P has the 2.5% fee in it. It's using the number from line 1 of form 3805P (it put the number in G of the Smart Worksheet -> IRA to HSA rollover) to calculate the fee against. Thanks for the help.
