Box 16 of my W-2 has two amounts. Do I need to add them up?

Box 16 of my W-2 has two amounts. The amounts add up to the amount in Box 1.  Do I need to add these up when I enter the amount in Turbo Tax? I only worked for one employer in one state (California). I think that maybe why there are two amounts is that me and girlfriend became domestic partners so I could put her on my insurance.  Thanks.

If Box 15-17 are both for the State of California and not for different states, then you can add the amounts up and input the totals.

However, if you have more than one state listed on your W-2, please select Add another state.
