Bit confused and not sure how to reply to the section that ask "tell us the states you lived in". I am a resident of GA but spend approx 6 months out of the year in FL.

The TurboTax program wants to make sure that you are filing your tax return accurately. If you lived in several states, you may have to file returns in each of those states.

You say that you are a resident of Georgia. Is your drivers license from the state of Georgia? If so, then you would file your taxes there. Florida doesn't have a state income tax. If you enter that you lived in both states, you would only need to file a Georgia return.
