AZ $10,000 exemption for age 65 or older parent

Arizona has an exemption, AZ $10,000 exemption, for a parent age 65 or older, lived at our residence all of 2022, paid more than 1/2 their support, and required daily living assistance.

My father-in-law is an AZ resident living in our house meeting the age requirement. In July he was in a bad car crash after which he was in the hospital ICU for 1.5 months and then a rehab facility for another 1.5 months. Upon returning home to our house, he required daily living assistance in many ways. Does he qualify for this exemption for us even though he was in the hospital and a rehab for a total of 3 months?
