Allocating income across states.

I moved from NJ to NY in September but worked in NJ the entire year - the first half on a 1099 and the 2nd half on 3 different W2s (sequentially).  The income for the last 10 weeks of the year are on one W2 - the last one.

TurboTax asks me to allocate the wages ti NY shown for the last W2.   (I don't know why it doesn't ask about the 1099s or other W2s)

I choose "by percent" because its simple -- I lived in NY for 7 of the 10 pay periods.

TurboTax shows

Enter the percentage.... (etc)

State Wages                               $10,000    (for example)

New York State Percentage    and I enter 70.00

I hit "Continue" and the next screen shows

Employer                                             Wages

W2 #3                                                  $10,000

Total State Wages                             $10,000

Why does it not show $7,000 for Total State Wages?

Is this correct or an error/bug?

Thanks
