Which section should a 1099-NEC be inputted, Personal or Business?

I am an independent contractor (insurance agent) and receive multiple 1099-NECs from various insurance companies for commissions I earn. Both Business and Personal sections allow for 1099-NECs to be entered. I've always input my 1099s in the business section but in 2023 I entered them in the personal section. Does it matter which section? Do I need to amend my 2023 return by moving over my 1099-NEC entries from Personal to Business? Thanks!

You can enter them in either section.   As long as they all get linked to your business Schedule C, they will end up reported as business income.   And you can link your 1099s to your Schedule C from either section.

As long as all of your 1099 income was reported on your 2023 Schedule C, you do not need to amend.   TurboTax will report any 1099-NEC as business income unless you specifically mark a box indicating it is not business income (which is rare), so it is highly unlikely you need to amend your 2023 tax return.

And actually you can just enter it as Other self employment income or as Cash or General income under Business on Schedule C. You don't need to get a 1099MISC, 1099NEC or 1099K. Even if you did you can enter all your income as Cash. Only the total goes to schedule C. You should be entering the income from your own records.
