Hey.. Was in the same boat with Pennsylvania. RE: your Maryland... As of about 15 minutes ago, the release of forms for MD appears to be 3-1-2024. I assume you are using TT business - Windows version
-Bill
Drg8r here again........What worked for me and how I think this all sorts out:
TT Business program will grab the patch for each state and apply it when the state program is published and not before. This makes sense of course, the Download will not become active before it is ready to be utilized and officially reviewed for completeness and work-ability likely.
Probably both a logistics matter and legal for TT.
The program is of no use til published...so it has 'downloaded' on your computer, u paid for it and it says its already downloaded, if u check drop down menu it is not an option to additionally purchase, BUT TT will not push the patch via 'update' to download a state that has not been finalized. May even be a legal thing.
My GA Fiduciary was published on Friday, patch pushed to my TT the day later, Saturday, as it was 'updated' and ready for use. It flashed as a patch application. (No patch pushed over on 02/23/24, Friday BTW)
Why they just cant tell us this, or not allow paid download until the State program is ready is anybodies guess.
Standing By, @Drg8r .........
PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU FOUND A FIX! IM HAVING THE SAME ISSUES 😢
I have had to uninstall both programs as well just trying to get the (already downloaded) Maryland partnership return to open. With this fiasco, I may have to resort to another program for next season. The time and energy I've wasted is ridiculous and probably worth the price increase with another program. INTUIT is not making many friends this year.
Still NOTHING; STUCK IN THE SAME LOOP WHICH IS UNACCEPTABLE
So, I called the 800 number and was told the MD Partnership will not be available with TT until AFTER 3/1 and to try again next week.... UGH!
Here's what the release form information indicates about Maryland: 3/1/2024 ready to print and ready for e file. That said, be aware some state business requirements do not permit efiling small business. Pennsylvania is one..and that's a Pennsylvania thing.
Anyway.. hope that helps. One of the previous messages on this post has the URL for updates on the release by software version, by state etc... they will not let us include the URL in posts.
yep,... 3/1/2024 is the date.
here's the url without pasting the url...
https plus colon plus // then
form-status.app.intuit.com/tax-forms-availability/formsavailability?albRedirect=true&product=Turbotax_online&bu=cg
Please read the entire thread above.
The TT Business Program will 'download' to your computer but will not be active until the release date published in this link:
The day AFTER your state release date, when u 'update', TT will provide a patch during update and your state will be downloaded and fully operational.

I am using Windows 10...on a MAC via Parallels.... 'Windows runs best on a MAC!'
See my recent post above, dated Monday Feb 26th for my assessment and summary of thoughts on how this process is working.
Bottom Line: TT Business will apply patch and make your downloaded state active on the date after the published completed/final release date.
(FYI: they change these dates in real time, so check the link above often.......)

I had the same issue with the State of Ohio S-Corp return - after purchase, the state return wouldn't "start" and kept taking me to the purchase window. One of the posts in this thread gave me the idea to find out if the Ohio forms were actually ready. Today is February 29 and the forms won't be available until March 1.
When this situation presented itself in the past, the TurboTax software popped up a window telling me that the forms weren't available - and it included the availability date. In fact, this is why I now wait until the end of February to start my return. I'm not blaming TurboTax for the late availability date for the State of Ohio this year, but why is it that the programmers stopped including that information in a popup window??? Very disappointed in Intuit for this step backwards!
Maryland was delayed again until 3/8/24 -- Hence I am continuing with same problem. WIll need to wait until next week
I am having the same issue with the Maryland Estates and Trusts load. Stuck in a loop of clicking on start state, watching it save, clicking download the state, software updating. It never loads the state even after reboot.
Good news from Georgia!
Once the Georgia state showed available, all went through seamlessly. Too bad Intuit/TT didn't offer this to all of us who had to find out the hard way to just wait for your state to be available. Ck the site:
The Bad news.....Ref the pop-up when requesting to print the finished forms, it says Georgia printed forms aren't yet available. So even though GA accepted the eFile, I still can't print my state forms. Go figure!
Good luck!
Thanks, I will try to e-file. Tried to print for filing, no dice. Odd since the Fiduciary is 'complete and available on web site for printing', NOT.
TT Business is just Buggy....seems like there is always something..
Hopefully fixed soon, filing date is just 6 weeks away!
So am I to understand that Turbotax Business will loop and loop and loop when trying to download the state because the Maryland SCORP is not technically available as of 3/6?
Further, the program will not SAY ANYTHING about this leading all of us to jump through many hoops, use the TTstateremoval tool, uninstall and reinstall turbotax ... ALL FOR NOTHING?
Why can't this work like regular Turbotax which will download the state but prevent filing. That is a better way to handle this...I just wasted a ton of time before finding this thread and I am not happy. I still have to call Turbotax to confirm as the March 15th is 10 days away.
