I have been self employed for over 30 years and have always filed a Sch C. I have accrued some carry over losses. Last year because of some health issues my gross revenue was $0.00. Do I need to file a Sch C for 2023 to maintain those carry over losses?

You can file a sch C to keep the losses in the program. You should be saving a copy of your return each year for your records. You do not need to file the Sch C but you do need to keep up with the carryover amounts.

Thank you for the fast response. I do plan on having Sch C income in the future, so would that change the need to file the Sch C?
The sch C comes and goes as needed with real life. It will not hurt to file it. If you were an incorporated business you would be required to file with no income but a Schedule C does not have that regulation.
