I (wife) receive a couple different 1099s in my name. Can I just split the income amount on our sch c or is a 1099 from me to my husband necessary?

No. You do not need to split the income on a joint return.
Thanks! Does he still get credit towards sSS/Medicare this way?
If you have 2 Schedule Cs - - one in each of your names, you will both get credit. The SE tax gets credited to the Schedule C owner. In your case, you need 2 separate Schedule Cs.
So in the case of 2 separate sch Cs, I just divide the income without needing to issue a 1099 to my husband?
Yes, if you are filing a joint return with two Schedules C, allocate the income and expenses equally between you and your spouse. There is no need to issue a 1099 because the income is already reported on the joint return.
