If I received a gift on a 1099-MISC, is that taxable?

Yes. You enter it as Other Reportable Income under the Miscellaneous Income section.

Follow these steps:

Click on Federal Taxes;
Go to Wages and Income;
Go to Other Common Income;
Select 1099-Misc
