i am a self-employed musician. I played about 100 gigs in 2025 and have about 100 1099-NEC forms that the employers sent to me. TurboTax asks that I input each 1099 information into the program. Is that necessary? Can't I just total up all the 1099 income as a summary page? Does each 1099 get reported on the 1040 that goes to the IRS? Of course I will keep all of the 1099s I received in the event I ever get audited.

You can just enter the total as Other self employment income or as Cash or General income. You don't need to get a 1099MISC, 1099NEC or 1099K. Even if you did you can enter all your income as Cash. Only the total goes to schedule C. You should be entering the income from your own records.
Great! I would be here for a week entering all the 1099 info otherwise. Thanks
