1099-NEC e-file rejected even though all the information appears correct

I received an email stating that my 1099-NEC form was rejected. The reason given was, "Your business info doesn’t match the IRS records." I used the same business information that I've filed with for many years, and the recipient's information is also the same as on last year's 1099. The form has been rejected twice, even though all the information appears correct. How can I e-file the 1099-NEC for my contractor?

You can verify the IRS information for your business using this link. To e-file, your information must match the IRS records exactly.

If your information matches but you still get an e-file rejection, you'll need to paper file your 1099s and attach the "rejected" notification to the first page.

For step-by-step instructions on how to paper file, see this TurboTax Help Article

The IRS usually gives a five-day grace period after the due date to fix e-file rejections.

Thank you for your help.

I opened the IRS link that you provided for me, but I couldn't find where to check my business information. Could you please be more specific? My business is a sole proprietorship, and I file Schedule C every year.

Also, I have an individual ID.me account, so I used that information to log in to the IRS and the page below showed up. However, I don't know where to go. Please help. Thank you.

Designated Official would be your role.

However, during my registration attempt, I encountered several options to choose from (see attached). It seems the account dose not accept my business type to register.
Also,
The "Who Can Use This" section of the webpage states, "Single-member limited liability companies (SMLLCs) reporting business income on Form 1040, Schedule C, currently do not have access to a business tax account."

Should I contact the IRS to confirm my business registration? If so, could you provide the appropriate contact number? Any advice on how to proceed?

Try this IRS link to the individual accounts, since you are a sole proprietorship or you can also call the IRS on Monday at 1-800-829-1040.

You also have the option to mail your 1099s to the IRS.

In my individual account, the business name was abbreviated to a few characters, and only the last 4 digits of the EIN were displayed, so I was unable to confirm my accurate business information. I have been using this information for many years, so I believe it is probably correct.

So, I will call the IRS on Monday.

Please tell me the address and instructions for mailing 1099s

Absolutely.  The transmittal is Form 1096 and the address for you area is listed on the front of the form. Simply click the link and you are all set.

The IRS will check the EIN with the first four letters of the business name, so an abbreviation could cause an issue.
