There are two questions:
1) Why was my wife's 1099 filed, but not mine? Bothe Raymond James.
- Did you post both of them in TurboTax?
- Did you Import them?
2) Where do you get the information in the first place?
- You should receive a form 1099-R for a retirement distribution, or
- A 1099-B for stock transactions.
- There are multiple 1099 forms.
- You often can get them, or import them online.
