Taxable portions of Pension / Deferred savings withdrawals

Our joint return includes both pensions and withdrawals from deferred savings plans similar to 401Ks.    Turbo tax shows total pension/annuity income below the totals in the taxable boxes of the 1099Rs.   i checked input and all info on gross and taxable amounts is correct as is box 7 codes.   Does Turbotax compute its own taxable pension numbers and if so, how I can see those calculations?

Taxable portions of Pension / Deferred savings withdrawals

You can look on your Form 1040 and see the gross and taxable amount of your pension distributions, lines 4(a) and (b) and lines 5(a) and (b).

To view your form 1040 and schedule 1 to 3:

  1. Choose Tax Tools from your left menu bar in TurboTax Online
  2. Choose Tools
  3. Choose View Tax Summary
  4. See the Preview my 1040 option in the left menu bar and click on it
  5. Choose the Back option in the left menu bar when you are done
