Taxable amount not determined checked, so where to enter the tax amount?

1099R form has same amount in box 1 and 2a with 2b checked as not determined taxable amount. We are responsible to determine this on our own as mentioned on the form. Once we have calculated the correct tax for this distribution based on our tax rate, where do you enter this new amount? I tried entering the new number in 2a, but that does not change the refund amount.

It’s common for the taxable amount not determined box to be checked. Unless you have an amount in box 9b if the amounts are the same in box 1 and 2a don’t make any changes in those amounts. The program will calculate your tax based on your tax rate.
