Tax Implications for Self-Employed Work After Retirement

I'm over age 65, have retired a few years ago and collect a federal retirement pension and social security annuity. I am considering working at home as a self-employed free lance writer planning on filing Sched C to arrive at my taxable income and Sched SE and profit (if any from sale of book) from any 1099-MISC if and when I ever sell a book.  Can you tell me if any income from a 1099-MISC would adversely effect my existing federal pension or social security annuity? Tax Implications for Self-Employed Work After Retirement

I don’t think that the additional income would affect those payments but you could check with your pension administrator.
