Shouldn't the NJ-1040 Line 28b agree to the amount on Retirement Income Exclusion Form? Looks like it showing the actual amount excluded vs Unclaimed Exclusion.

Line 28b of Form NJ-1040, which can be found at 2023 Income Tax Forms, should equal the amount shown on line 9 of Worksheet D in the Instructions for Form NJ-1040, also found in the link, assuming you're a New Jersey resident.  See the image below.

If line 28b of Form NJ-1040 appears to be incorrect, provide more information, including what the Worksheet D figures are, and what you believe they should be.

Here are the figures

Turbo tax NJ Other Retirement Exclusion & Worksheet D I prepared both show following

Line 1  100000

Line 2 20833

Line 3 79167

Line 4-8 all zero

Line 9 = 79167 which should be entered on Line 29b

Turbo Tax NJ 1040 shows

Line 28a 20833

Line 28b 21996  (should be 79167)

line 28c 42829  (should be 10000)

It does not impact the outcome of the return (no funds are owed); but concerned that it will be a red flag.

thanks for looking at it.
