I have a 1099-R for my husband's pension. I've had a problem entering it before, but this year, TT wants to treat it as an annuity and ask me all kinds of questions that I can't answer--Total value, start date, etc. It's not an annuity!! It's a locked-in pension! I know those are rare these days but TT seems unable to handle it!

Here's how to enter the information on your Forms 1099-R:
In TurboTax Online, under Wages and Income:
If you have already entered the pension, but are being prompted to answer unexpected questions about annuities, go back to the pension section of TurboTax, and click Edit next to the pension item. Go through the questions again. You may have inadvertently selected that the pension distribution was from a non-qualified plan, such as an annuity. Or, you can delete the pension item by clicking the trash can icon next to Edit, and then enter the form again.
See this help article for more information.
I tried it again like you suggested and this time it worked! Thanks!
