Pension 1099-R box 11, what should I do if it is blank?

I am being asked to fill in 1st year of desig. Roth contrib. but on my form it is blank and Turbotax will not let me leave it blank.  What should I do?

Enter the year that the Roth account was originally opened, even if it was not funded yet.  The software will only differentiate between "more than 5 years old" or "less than 5 years old."
