On one of my 1099DIV, there appears to be 3 different funds in each box, 1a, 1b, 2a etc. For the correct entry, do I total all 3 entries in each box and enter the sum?

No, those are three different types of dividend payment.  1a is total ordinary dividends, 1b is Qualified Dividends, this amount is already included in 1a, but these dividends are taxed at a lower rate than non-qualified dividends. 2.a is Capital Gains Distributions from mutual funds.  Do not total them and enter as one, enter each one separately.
