It depends on how you reported the information. Here's the correct format for reporting Railroad retirement.
- Go to income
- Go to retirement plans and social security.
- Social Security (SSA-1099, RRB 1099)
- When the next screen appears, be sure you check Railroad Retirement Benefits (Form RRB -1099)
I think you may have enter this as a 1099R and this is why you are being asked these questions. If this is the case, delete your entries and then enter this in the menu path outlined above.
