My wife and I are retired and most of our income is my pension, SSA, and IRA. She worked for 7 weeks in 2020 as a self-employed contract RN. Should we file separately?

Should my wife and I file separately?  I'm retired, but she worked for only 7 weeks in 2020 as a contract RN?

No. You still file Joint.

No.   You should file jointly.  The married filing separately tax rates are very steep and cost you more tax.  In most cases it is much better to file jointly.  You can try the different ways with TurboTax's free calculator Taxcaster.   It will give you the estimated tax differences when filing either way. It's up-to-date with the latest tax laws and can estimate your 2021 taxes as well.  Click here for a link to Taxcaster.
