My husband is 70 years old and collects social security. Is that taxable?

Part of it may OR may not be taxable, depending on your other income and filing status. You should go ahead and enter his SSA-1099 in TurboTax (Federal Taxes, Wages & Income, Retirement Plans & Social Security) to see if it's taxable. Please note that filing separately will likely make *more* of his SS check taxable; you should still file a joint return.
