Is my pension from Wisconsin Retirement System exempt in Wisconsin if I wasn't a teacher?

Turbo Tax has never given me this credit before and this year
it is. My Husband was a fireman and paid into the same pension
plan as the teachers. The list says State or Local and lists Teachers Retirement systems.

It is probably not exempt.  As a firefighter, his pension can be exempt (or partially exempt), if he began serving with the Milwaukee Fire Fighters system before January 1, 1964.  This Wisconsin website provides more information:  Wisconsin taxable Retirement Income
