I moved from NY to OR on 7/1/19, was a W2 in NY and a 1099 in OR. How can my entire 1099 income taxed in both states although I was not a resident of NY then?

In the state interviews ... if you are completing the part year resident section you need to allocate the income that belongs to each state.  Then each state will only tax you on the income earned in each state  HOWEVER what will look strange is how NY will show the income on the return (not sure on OR) ... NY will take your total annual income into consideration to compute the tax and then prorate that amount ... read the NY form carefully to see how this happens.
