I just realized that I've been making contributions to my IRA every year but did not report it on my 2020 return. I never filed form 8606. So what do I do

If you forgot to report forms 8606 for non-deductible IRA contributions, you can amend the last 3 tax returns to include that form.

Past year Form 8606 can be filed as a standalone form.  It is not necessary to file amended returns.
