I have 2 American Equity annuities. One is 7 IRA Simple, the other is 7D but both show as 7D even after changing it several times. How do I fix this?

You should delete them both and then re-enter manually if you imported them by chance.  This could eliminate this experience for you.

You'll need to delete your forms 1099-R-.

  • If you're using TurboTax Online software and need to delete a form, click here.
  • If you're using TurboTax CD\Download software and need to delete a form, click here

Once deleted, you should clear cache and cookies before you try to re-enter. In a situation like this it handles many issues that seem nonsensical on a regular basis.

  • Close your TurboTax return first.

Watch to be sure you are selecting 'all time' as example.  Do not use selections like 'last hour' for those browsers that give  you options.

Once this is complete open your return and add the 1099-Rs back to your return.
