I categorized my retirement contributions as an IRA BUT they should have been a Roth. When I made amendment, it appears that I lost my NY state refund. NY refund?

Since I was unable to qualify for a deduction, my Federal tax refund stayed the same. But the NY state refund is now 0. Why?

There is no deduction for a Roth contribution, Federal or State.
