How to cancel a mistaken entry on income in turbo tax. I started a 1099 entry for SSA, but then found it in another area but it wants the 1st that doesn't exist.

I started an entry in the 1099 area, and there was no info for payer address, info, TIn, etc.. and then I found by going 'back', that there was an area for SSA and that worked fine. But now the audit on the form still wants info from the bogus or 'non-working' 1099 I entered to use at first. It seems stuck in wanting info that doesn't exist or correct. There is no 'delete entry' or any of that on the form.

You can delete it if you know which form it is, be sure not to delete the one you want to save.

To Delete:

For TurboTax Desktop, switch to Forms (Upper right corner) 

TurboTax Online:

Select Tax Tools on the left side-bar

Select Tools from that drop-down

Select “Delete a form” on the TOOLS CENTER screen

Select the Form, Schedule and/or worksheet you wish to remove
