How is my total income zero when I got 20K from SSA? This is forcing me to mail my return.

Social security benefits are not taxable if you have no other income. If this is the case, then you are not required to file a tax return. That is why it is showing up that you have no income. please view the Turbo tax FAQ below for more information about social security income.
