How do I enter social security and canadian pension plan income - lump them together?

Yes, you lump them together.

If you have an amount in Box 5 of Form SSA-1099, you add that amount to your CPP/OAS benefits when entering in TurboTax.

See the TurboTax Help article How do I enter my Canada Pension Plan (CPP) or Old Age Security (OAS) benefits? for guidance.
