How do I correct a manual entry to Form 5329 Additional Tax on Retirement Distribution, Line 43?

I changed from $850 to $0 because of the TT review suggesting it should be $0. How to I change it back to $850, which is the correct amount for me?

How do I correct a manual entry to Form 5329 Additional Tax on Retirement Distribution, Line 43?

Yes, you can get Form 5329 back to its original figures by deleting the form and letting it repopulate based on the answers in the program.

I assume you are working in TurboTax Online and the manual entry was made during the Review. It that's not right, please reply back with more details about the TurboTax version you are using and how you made this manual entry.

Here's how to delete Form 5329:

  1. Sign in to TurboTax.
  2. Select Deductions & Credits.
  3. In the left-side menu, select Tax Tools, then Tools.
  4. Select Delete a form, from the list in the pop-up window.
  5. Check the list for Form 5329,  select Delete next to the form.
  6. Confirm your Delete, select Continue.
  7. Select Review, and address any details that come up.
