Government TSP

It's periodic if you chosen to receive distributions as an annuity, otherwise the distributions are nonperiodic.  If the amount shown in box 2a of the Form 1099-R is the correct taxable amount (and it almost certainly is if box 2a is not blank), it doesn't matter how you answer the periodic/nonperiodic question in TurboTax.
