From my form 1099-DIV, the program is taking the 2a amount and including it in my income. Last year's returm only used the 1a amount. Why is it including 2a amount?

• Are you looking at your 1040 tax form?
  • See below to preview the 1040.
• If so, what is posted to 3a and also 3b on the 1040?
• Is 3a blank?
• Is 3b what was posted to the 1099-DIV box 1a?

You can preview your tax return by going to:

1. On the menu bar on the left that shows.
2. Select Tax Tools
3. On the drop-down select Tools
4. On the popup menu
5. Select View Tax Summary
6. On the left sidebar
7. Select Preview my 1040.
