Does Turbo Tax prompt you for Form 8606 information on IRA distributions?

Yes. After you enter all of your 1099-R forms and continue through the interview, TurboTax asks if you made any nondeductible contributions to your IRAs. If you answer Yes it asks for the information needed for Form 8606.
